The Future is Autistic

What is neurodiversity coaching?

Neurodiversity coaching is designed as a space for autistic and ADHD people to “unmask” from the realities of existing in a neurotypical society and facilitate their own inner wisdom to achieve their personal or professional goals. It is about working with our brains, rather than against them.

In other words, having a neurodiversity coach, who is neurodivergent themselves, provides you with the support and freedom to unlearn internalised ableism and discover new ways of thinking with the professional support of someone from within the neurodiverse community.

Who is it for?

The benefits of coaching for autistic and ADHD people are substantial.

Maybe you have just discovered you are autistic or have ADHD, or are finding “unmasking” challenging?

Perhaps you are struggling to complete tasks, or want to understand your executive dysfunction better?

Maybe you are seeking better quality friendships or want to detangle unhelpful patterns of thinking? Or perhaps you want to improve your ability to manage stress or overcome roadblocks in your career?

Whatever your reasons for wanting neurodiversity coaching, the space will be tailored to you, your lived experience and what you need to reach your goals. It holds the belief that no one knows more about the client and their own neurodivergent brain than themselves.

My coaching is anti-ableist and inclusive in its approach, taking into account the wide range of traits within the autism spectrum, levels of support needs, and comorbidities such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and other neurodivergence. Autism and ADHD exists at all levels of society and socio-economic backgrounds and must be approached through an intersectional lens.

Neurodiversity coaching is not for people who are currently receiving therapy or seeking support for mental illness recovery. However, if you do have a history of mental illness, have received therapeutic treatment for it and would like to receive support in achieving your goals, neurodiversity coaching is the right place for you.

What does a session look like?

A neurodiversity coaching session with me is a safe, comfortable, and creative space for people to show up completely as themselves and develop an action plan tailored to them. Sessions are online-based and are 1 hour each.

My coaching style is informed by Gestalt, positive psychology and value-based coaching approaches; and coaching techniques such as guided meditation and the TGROW model to structure my sessions.
